Ally Giovine, designer.
Ally Giovine is the owner and creative director of Studio LaLa, an interior design and styling studio based in the beautiful Northern Rivers.
At the heart of Studio LaLa is a commitment to creating spaces that feel deeply personal to each client. Ally is known for pairing unconventional materials with timeless colour palettes, while always prioritising functionality and liveability. She is passionate about celebrating Australian makers and incorporating custom pieces throughout her projects, ensuring every Studio LaLa home feels entirely unique.
Her first project was featured by The Design Files and later included in their feature, 8 Inspiring Before + After Transformations That Blew Us Away in 2022. Studio LaLa returned to The Design Files in 2024, in a roundup of Australian designers taking on small renovations. In 2025, Noosa Haven, a waterfront apartment with furniture curation by Studio LaLa, was awarded Best Home Renovation Project at the Master Builders Queensland Sunshine Coast Awards.
From Brisbane to the Tweed Coast.
Studio LaLa was founded in Brisbane in 2018. Both published case studies are Brisbane homes: Havana House (Ashgrove), featured three times in The Design Files, and the Private Residence in New Farm, a styling project for a Myers Ellyett-designed home. The studio moved to Cabarita Beach in 2023. The Brisbane work continues; the geographic centre of gravity moved south.
The Cabarita Beach studio sits central to four working regions: the Tweed itself, Byron Shire (about 35 minutes south), the Gold Coast (40 to 60 minutes north), and Brisbane (an hour and a half north). E-design and colour consultations run remotely, anywhere in Australia.
