Byron Bay's design conversation has been stuck in a loop for years, with the boho-coastal template repeated, slightly varied, and called bespoke. Studio LaLa's full design service in Byron is a deliberate counterpoint to that. I can do quiet and neutral well when the home and the brief call for it, but the work that lights me up is the home that looks unmistakably its owner's, in a town where most homes look like everyone else's.
The studio is at Cabarita Beach, 35 minutes north of Byron, which makes site visits a regular cadence rather than an occasion. Cape Byron, Wategos, Tallow Beach, and the streets behind the lighthouse each carry their own envelope of design freedom and constraint, and the brief changes accordingly. Full interior design from $12,000 covers concept through install, delivered by me directly, and takes three to six months for a multi-room scope, longer where there is structural work.
